A suspected burglary in the 4th oldest pub in Britain, reveals a spookier truth.
Tony Dooley, manager of Ye Olde Man and Scythe in Bolton, Lancashire, says he found a broken glass when he came downstairs on the morning of February 14th 2014 (Valentine's Day, intriguing), and obviously checked the CCTV immediately through concern. What was revealed was more than just an answer for the broken glass on the floor.
The CCTV footage shows the obvious appearance of a man, briefly appearing and disappearing accompanied by shadows and movement before the CCTV footage stops dead at 6:18am.
The pub dates back to as long ago as 1251, and is even said to be haunted by the Seventh Earl of Derby, James Stanley (among another supposed 25 spirits, including an 8 year old girl, a woman who hung herself in the cellar and a dog).
It's an incredibly intriguing building, both for the Paranormal and anyone interested in British history, as it played a part in the civil war as well as the Bolton Massacre of 1644.
Maybe a place for 2 Haunted to investigate in the future?
See the video for yourself and let me know what you think... camera glitch or more than that?
